Nokia at a event in Singapore announce the launch of the all new Nokia N9, a MeeGo based smart phone. N9 will be the latest mobile phone of the N series. Previous N series mobile N8 was a huge success because of the multimedia features it provides like a 12MP camera with Xenon Flash. The major difference between Nokia N8 and N9 are listed below:
- Nokia N9 is a fully touch phone means it will not have single button on it’s entire body.
- Nokia N9 is powered by a Linux based MeeGo operating system which is much better than Symbian.
- Nokia N9 will feature a less powerful camera than N8. It will be equipped with a 8MP camera and a LED flash.
According to me the major difference is the MeeGo OS. MeeGo is definitely much better than Symbian in terms of interface and functionality. A particular feature of this phone known as swipe is the most interesting one (You can see this in the video.)
As far as design is concerned Nokia N9 is crafted from a single Polycarbonate piece. This Polycarbonate material is actually helps the phone in getting a good signal quality and less call drops (Nokia claims).
