The all new AMD APU A83870K black edition chip is just 10$ more than the previous high end APU AMD A8-3850. The A8-3870K is clocked at 3 GHz which is 100 MHz more than A8-3850. Other specifications like AMD Radeon 6550D GPU is exactly same on both the chips.
The major difference between these two is than A8-3870K is an unlocked processor there by increasing the chances of overclocking of both CPU and GPU components of an APU. As per the benchmarks the A8-3870K easily overclocks to 3.8 GHz and at that speed it is significantly faster than the stock A8-3850.
The present price of this chip at Newegg is 144.99$. In India it is available at around Rs. 7800.
