As you all know that Samsung was going to launch the all new next generation Galaxy S4 at an event which was held in the New York City on 15th March, 2013. Well to all the loyal Galaxy users which were eagerly waiting for the launch of Galaxy S4, your wait is finally over as Samsung has recently launched the much powerful Galaxy S4 to compete with Apple iPhone.
Design wise you will not see any major changes in the new Galaxy S4 as compared to Galaxy S3. Attached below is the photo of the latest Galaxy S4 and you can clearly see the same plastic body and button placement.
But nevertheless Samsung Galaxy S4 is definitely a very powerful device when you see its hardware specs under its hood. As usual there will be two version of Galaxy S4:
First one is the Galaxy S4 international version which will be powered by the Samsung’s own Exynos 5 based OctaCore chipset with 4 of its cores clocked at 1.6 GHz and is based on Cortex A15 architecture and other 4 cores will be clocked at 1.2 GHz and is based on Cortex A7 architecture. GPU will be PowerVR SGX series model number 544MP3.
Second version of Galaxy S4 will feature a Qualcomm Quad Core chipset named Snapdragon 600. It basically have 4 highly efficient Krait cores clocked at 1.5 GHz and will feature the mighty Adreno 320 GPU.
Other common features are listed below:
- Galaxy S4 will feature a decent 13 MP primary camera capable of shooting videos of up to 1080P resolution.
- Galaxy S4 also features a secondary camera of 2.1 MP for video chatting.
- Galaxy S4 is just 7.9 mm thick which is even slimmer than Galaxy S3.
- Galaxy weighs only 130 gm. which is lighter as compared to Galaxy S3.
- Galaxy S4 features a massive 2600 mAh battery.
- It will be available in three memory options that is 16, 32 and 64 GB and will also feature a micro SD card slot for further memory expansion.
- It will also have Infrared port so that Galaxy S4 can act as TV remote control. This feature is similar to HTC One.
- Now let us come to the display department. Galaxy S4 will feature a decent 4.99 inch display based on Super AMOLED technology and will have a massive resolution of 1080P and superb 441 PPI density. PPI means Pixels Per Inch.
- Samsung Galaxy S4 will come packed with 2GB of RAM.
- There will two color options available initially that is White Frost and Misty Black.
- Galaxy S4 will be running the latest version of Android operating system that is Android 4.2.2 JellyBean.
