Sony has recently launched their all new Xperia smartphone named “Ion” in India at a massive price tag of Rs. 35,999. This new smartphone is presently available for sale only at Snapdeal. Ion phone was officially revealed by Sony at this year’s CES. Initially it was revealed in just two color options that black or white. But later on a red version of Ion was revealed on Sony’s official website.
Xperia Ion is now the flagship smartphone from Sony but there is no significant difference between the specs of Xperia S and Xperia Ion. Some of its specs are listed below:
+ Sony Xperia Ion features a 4.6 Inch display which is just 0.3 inch bigger than screen on Xperia S. This definitely does not give justice for such a high price tag.
+ Sony Xperia Ion which same 1.5 GHz dual core processor as Xperia S
+ Xperia Ion runs on Android 4.0 ICS as its main operating system
Sony Xperia Ion also features:
1 GB of RAM
12.1 MP primary camera with support for recording Full HD video
NFC support
16 GB internal memory which is 16 GB less than the base model of Xperia S
1.3 MP secondary camera with HD video support
1900 mAh battery which is 150 mAh higher than that of Xperia S
+ One feature which separates Xperia S and Xperia Ion with a greater magnitude is the presence of Playstation Certification for Xperia Ion which means availability of exclusive games for it from various game publishers. But it still give no justification for such a high price tag.
