IVY Bridge laptops are now available in India but due to the weakening rupee their prices are slightly higher than their corresponding sandy bridge based laptops. Asus K55VM-SX086D
The Laptop Asus K55VM-SX086D is the only Laptop within or around 50K bracket which is equipped with Core i7(3rd Gen). The only negative point here is that it comes with Free DOS and not with Windows. So you have to purchase it separately or use one of your old copies. Other features include:

DELL Inspiron 15R special edition
This is next contender for the best ivy bridge laptop under 50K. This laptop feature wise is very similar or even powerful than Asus K55VM except for CPU which is Core i7 in case of Asus and core i5 in case of DELL Inspiron. But still DELL is DELL! Dell with its strong support network can easily beat Asus from the core. Asus service centres are handled Rashi peripherals which are already known for their poor customer service. So if you can compromise on CPU than you should go for Dell Inspiron 15R special edition. It is also Rs. 2,000 cheaper than Asus and has a better GPU than Asus K55VM. HP 2000 2116 TU
I would have placed this Laptop above the last one because of its low price. At such a low price it is giving plenty of raw power of the 3rd generation Core i5 plus the all new Intel HD 4000 integrated GPU. HP has done some cost cutting in this laptop as they are not offering any premium OS with it. This can be a serous problem to some people . But still there are workaround to this problem. One can go for Ubuntu if he/she don’t like to pay for Genuine Windows. Here are the specs of this Laptop:
