Will this tweet confirm the launch of Galaxy Note 2 ?

Samsung Galaxy Note is definitely one of most successful offering from Samsung till now. There should be no doubt in considering the fact that Samsung will soon launched the next version of Galaxy Note as they have already launched their much awaited offering that is Galaxy S3. This next version is often rumoured to be as Note 2. Galaxy Note is nothing but a mixture of of a Smartphone and a 7 inch Tablet and for this particular property it is also known as a Phablet in the web world. Whatever be the rumours the launch of Galaxy Note 2 is not always confirmed.

But after this tweet from the Twitter account of Samsung Mobile Arabia it became quite possible that Samsung will soon launch the Note 2 into the market. In this Tweet Samsung Mobile Arabia asked their twitter followers about which of the upcoming Samsung products you are most excited about. They have also given some options which includes Galaxy Beam, Galaxy Tab2, Galaxy Note 2. This directly indicates that Note 2 is on the launch list of Samsung in the coming months. Leaked information indicates 3 new Windows Phone 8 smartphones from HTC

htc rioLast week Microsoft launched the next major version of Windows mobile operating system and named it as Windows Phone 8. Windows Phone 8 brings some serious improvements over Windows Phone 7.5 and Windows Phone 7.8. Two of the such improvements includes support for HD resolution displays and support for multi core processors.

These two features will enable Windows Phone partners like Nokia, Samsung and HTC to use multi core CPU and high resolution display in their new Smartphones based on Windows Phone 8. Now as per the leaked information going around the web world, HTC will soon launch three new smartphones named HTC Rio, HTC Accord and HTC Zenith running the latest Windows Phone 8.

The launch date for HTC Rio and HTC Accord is expected to be around October of this year and for HTC Zenith it will launched towards the end of the year. HTC Zenith is rumoured to be the flagship upcoming Window Phone 8 smartphone from HTC.

How to modify topic title in PHPBB3 ?

PHPBB3 is one of the best free forum software.out there. It can easily be modified to your community’s requirement.

One of the problem with the default PHPBB3 installation is the default titles of the topics or posts. The default topic title in PHPBB3 is in the following format.

Site Name • View Topic – Your_Title

Now if some one search for a given topic in Google than he will be presented with such a long title from your website. This decreases the organic traffic traffic to your website. Now this can be improved by modifying a single line in your Overall_Header.html file present in your theme folder. I am here writing all the steps to modify the title:

  1. First go to your PHPBB3 admin panel.
  2. Click on the STYLES TAB on the above menu bar.
  3. Click on the Templates link in the left menu bar which is under the Style Components category.
  4. Now you will see the list of all the styles installed in your PHPBB3 installation. In the front of each style there is an Edit option. Click on it.
  5. Now you will see a drop down list showing different template files. Select the  overall_header.html file.
  6. Now you will a editor window showing some HTML code.
  7. Search for <title> {SITENAME} &bill; <! –IF S_IN MCP –>{L_MCP} &bull; <!– ELSEIF S_IN_UCP –>{L_UCP} &bull; <!—ENDIF —> {PAGE_TITLE} </title>
  8. In the above line of code delete this portion {SITENAME} &bill; <! –IF S_IN MCP –>{L_MCP} &bull; <!– ELSEIF S_IN_UCP –>{L_UCP} &bull; <!—ENDIF —>
  9. After this task click on the submit button.
  10. Now click on the General Tab in above menu bar.
  11. In the middle of the home page of your forums admin panel click on the link in front of Purge the cache option labelled as Run Now.
  12. Now its done.

Now your forums title will not contain useless Site Name and other variables.

Public Interest Registry or simply known PIR is going to increase the prices of .ORG domain extension by 0.49$ from 1st July onwards. This means if your present registrar is selling the .org extension for 10$/year than from now onwards it will be 10.49$. 0.49 $ is approximately Rs. 28 in Indian currency.

PIR is the organization which is behind the core management of .ORG domain extension. Though this extension is mostly used by NGOs or volunteer organizations, its popularity among domainers is very high. Some experienced domainers consider .ORG to be a more general extension than .NET and hence more premium too.

Rumoured HTC One XXL to be powered by a Krait based quad core CPU

As per the latest rumours going around the web world, HTC is going to launch the all new Smartphone HTC One XXL. HTC One XXL can simply be considered as an upgraded version to HTC One X (USA Version). The USA version of HTC One X is powered by a dual core CPU based chipset S4 from Snapdragon. The CPU on a S4 chipset is a dual core processor with Krait based cores.
