Fortnite will not be available on Google Play Store

Fortnite, one of the most popular video game currently will soon be available on Android platform. But there is one problem, it will not be available on Google Play Store. So you can’t just go to Google Play Store and visit the top 100 free games section and download Fortnite from there. Instead you have to visit Epic games official website and download the APK from there. Some of the users might be aware of the steps to install third party apps on Android platform but there will be many who are not that accustomed to do this as you need to modify certain system settings to install third party apps. These system settings are basically their to protect your Android OS from installing untrusted apps from untrusted sources. But as you all know Fortnite will be a trusted app and hence you can use the following technique to install it on you mobile once its available.

1. First download the APK from official website. (Please download it from official website only. Downloading from other sources such as torrents can be unsafe and can result in compromising of your smartphone. APK is like an installer only.)

2. Go to your phone settings.

3. Go to the Security section.

4. In the Security section you will be able to find a toggle button labeled as “Unknown Sources” – “Allow installation of apps from unknown sources”.

5. Activate this option.

6. Congratulations, now you can install Fortnite on your smartphone.

There are certain other steps also like copying the APK to mobile and then executing it through some file manager. I will be publishing one more detailed article on this as Fortnite for Android is going to be something big and I know you want to be part of it.
