Reliance Broadband is the worst broadband I’ve ever had

My suggestion would be to never ever go for Reliance Broadband (especially for the residents of Punjab). They don’t have metro like quality here. There entire staff is incompetent and know nothing about basic terms like ping. The have overloaded servers in the regions with worst routing to Asian and European servers.

If you are a gamer from this region than stay away from this Sh#$*y broadband. My suggestion would be to go with Airtel. They have better quality fiber and line in Punjab region.

My experience with Reliance is the worst. Here i am attaching some of the screen shots from speedtest.net.

Please don’t tell me any suggestions to reduce my ping. I have tried each and every solution but to no avail. This is because the entire problem is in their core system and they are too busy too correct that.

Reliance Broadband sucks
Reliance Broadband sucks

Please don’t laugh at me!! I know 687 is a high ping but i can’t do any thing to lower it down. You can look at this post for video demonstration of the lag caused by Reliance Broadband in Battlefield Bad Company 2.

At last you will be asking me that why i am still using their broadband? The answer is plain and simple : I don’t have the option of other ISP in my locality. šŸ™

ICANN introduces .BRAND top level domains

ICANN had recently launched the all porn top level domain that is .XXX and now ICANN in their meeting at Singapore decided to introduce .BRAND top level domain. Well it actually means that the company can create a top level domain of their any brand like .COKE or may be .INTEL.

Now after this news an individual would be able to register domains like .kid , .toy, .nyc etc…

Application formsĀ  for the creation of new top level domains will be available in January of 2012. But the main question will the introduction of new TLD’s affect the values of .COM’s. My answer to this question is that it will still depend on the end user whether they want to spend millions on a .COM or register a new domain in one of theses new extensions. This will definitely slow down the sales of domains among the resellers and other domain auction houses like SEDO or TDNAM.

Is this the end of domaining?

How to get indexed in Google quickly?

How to get indexed in Google quickly?

I’mĀ  pretty sure that most of the webmasters out there are facing this problem of not getting indexed by Google. Most probable reason for this problem is that your site is either too new or do not have sufficient back links to support quick indexing and the most probable solution that you will get on the web is to build more back links etc.

But here i am going to discuss the way by which i had got my brand new blog indexed in Google in just one hour but before that i am here giving you a list which you can do get your blog indexed in Google on time.

  • Build more and more back links
  • Ping your blog with various pinging tools available on web
  • Write articles for popular article directories like Ezine etc.
  • Participate in forums like Digital Point or Namepros

The above methods are generic which every web master should follow in order to build a authority website but for quick results here is my method.

You must be aware of a tip that most of the pro out there give to newbie that you should tweet your posts to your twitter account. Tweeting your post might help your website in getting traffic but it will not at all help you in getting your blog posts indexed quickly in the search engines. I have just found a site called FriendFeed.com which is exactly same to twitter. This site will basically aggregates your XML or RSS feeds from various websites including Twitter. Here is a step by step guide:

  1. First create account at twitter and start tweeting your posts to it.
  2. Than create account at FriendFeed.Com and attach your Twitter account with it.
  3. Now what ever you tweet in twitter will appear in the feed of FriendFeed.Com.

Now Google Bot love this FriendFeed.Com very much. As soon as you tweet your blog post to your twitter account with a link to that particular post, your post will get indexed in Google with in few minutes.

About FriendFeed.Com

FriendFeed.Com is basically a project created by four engineers and than acquired by Facebook.

Microsoft purchases SkyDrive.com in response to Apple’s iCloud.com

Microsoft purchases SkyDrive.com in response to Apple’s iCloud.com

All of you who are using Hotmail or Live mail as their email service must be aware of the Sky Drive feature provided by the Microsoft. Sky DriveĀ  was launched by Microsoft much before the launch of iCloud service by Apple. Sky Drive enable one to store up to 20 GB of digital media online which can easily be made either public or private.

Now after the launch of iCloud service by Apple on a dedicated domain iCloud.com, Microsoft also decided to launch Sky Drive on a dedicated domain and hence recently purchased SkyDrive.com for an undisclosed price. Till now Microsoft uses a sub domain skydrive.live.com to offer storage services but from now onwards it will use SkyDrive.com to offer the same.

Up till 5th June the who is of SkyDrive .Com shows the owner as some auto company but from 5th June onwards Microsoft is listed as the owner of this domain. The domain is presently registered at Mark Monitor Inc. Microsoft not only acquired SkyDrive.com but also acquired many other typos of the same domain name. The list is given below:-

  • SkyDriv.com
  • SkyDirve.com
  • SkuDrive.com
  • SkrDrive.com
  • MSNSkyDrive.com
  • WindowsLiveVoice.com
  • WindowsLiveDrive.com
  • WindowsLiveDrive.mobi
  • WindowsLiveDrive.net
  • WindowsLiveDrive.org
  • WindowsLiveMedia.com
  • SkyDriveFolders.com
  • SkyDriveSync.com
  • SkyDriveSpace.com
  • SkyDriveStorage.com

Sky Drive will be directly integrated into the next release of Windows Phone 7 code named Mango. This will enable a user to upload videos, images and documents directly to their Sky Drive account and afterwards share them with others.Ā  It will also enable you to search your Sky Drive account for particular files or images.

Sky Drive is one of the mainstream social media product of Microsoft and it is still not clear that why they hadn’t purchased this name on the date they released Sky Drive to public. I think the Apple’s recently launched iCloud service forced Microsoft to make this bold move.

When will the condition of broadband improves in India?

When will the condition of broadband improves in India?

There are many big telecom players in India but no not even a single is providing reliable service. All providers just considerĀ  customers as money making machines. Some of the very serious points to be considered are:-

  1. Speed:-India is still considering 256 Kbps a broadband. What a shame on a huge country like India. Even much more smaller economies have much better speed and minimum ping issues.
  2. Ping:-Don’t ask this word or term to a any customer support center because they will get astonished on what are you asking. We all know how important this ping is when certain tasks are considered but first think of a solution on how to make them understand this term.
  3. FUP or F**k User Policy:-Every body must be aware of this term. Fair usage policy refers to the the speed restriction done by the companies after particular amount of data limit has been reached. For example you will get 2 Mbps up to 8 GB and 256 Kbps afterwards. This thing really makes problem for heavy down loaders. According to me this concept will be good if data limits are sufficient and calculated in a proper manner but these pea sized limits forces a user to withdraw the connection from that provider.

True unlimited are still a distant dream for Indians.
