But Nikon takes the benefit of this situation and released their first Android based Digital Camera ‘Coolpix S800c’ for Indian market.
This new Android based camera from Nikon is priced at Rs. 20,950 and can be purchased from your nearest outlet. As far as specs are concerned then the most important spec for this camera is that it is running an old version of Android that is Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Other important features include 16 MP lens with 10x optical zoom and a aperture which varies from f/3.2 – 5.8. Internal memory is just 1.7 GB. Connectivity features include Bluetooth and Wi Fi with the help of which one can connect this camera with other android or IOS devices. It also packs a 3.5 inch capacitive touch screen based on OLED technology and has anti glaring coating
The all new Coolpix S800c cannot match the raw processing power of Samsung’s yet to be launched Android camera as it will contain a powerful Quad Core Exynos chip with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as its main operating system.
