After reading the title don’t confuse it with their “Phablet” offering that is Galaxy Note series of smartphones. This is basically a tablet from Samsung’s Note series and hence named Galaxy Note 10.1. Samsung is yet to release their second generation Galaxy Note 2 smartphone and as per the rumors it is scheduled to be launched on 29th of this month.

Galaxy Note 10.1 was recently launched by Samsung and will act as a successor to their first generation of Galaxy Note tablet. This new tablet from Samsung is somewhat different from their Galaxy Tab series of tablets in terms of both design and specs.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 features a decent 10.1 inch PLS TFT based display with a PPI density of 149 at a resolution of 1280 X 800 . The other specs includes Samsung’s own quad core CPU based Exynos chipset model 4412. The frequency of CPU stands at 1.4 GHz. Exynos 4412 also features Mali 400 MP as its main graphic processor and has 2 GB of RAM. It also has a 5 MP primary camera and a 1.9 MP secondary camera for video calling.

The all new Galaxy Note 10.1 will be available in three models depending on the internal storage that is 16, 32 and 64 GB. It will be available in both 3G+ Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi only models. A stylus named as S- Pen will be provided with every tablet by Samsung. This S- Pen is designed specifically for Galaxy note series of tablets ans is compatible with S- Pen based applications such a S Planner, Adobe Photoshop Touch, S Note and Crayon Physics.

No news on when this tablet will be available in India and at what price.

Samsung is in habit of releasing multiple models with same specs into the market so as to over saturate it with their models only. Instead they should release one tablet and improve it to beat iPad.
