This news will definitely be a bad one for thousands of Apple fans across the country. Initially a tech blog named BGR reported that the Apple will launch the all new iPhone 5 in India on 26th of October, 2012 and also cited that information comes from some reputed source. They had also claimed that this time Apple will not sell this new device via telecom operators, instead they will distribute the device through their retailer network only.

Now in an official response from Apple India’s PR manager to IBtimes states that Apple has no plan to launch the all new iPhone 5 in India on 26th October and rejects all the media speculation created over the launch of this highly hyped up smartphone.

Till now there is no official comment on the pricing of iPhone 5 in India. Enthusiasts are still buying this new device from the Gray market at a hefty premium. Presently iPhone 5 is listed by some sellers on Ebay for a massive price of Rs. 63,000 which is approximately Rs. 20,000 more than the price of iPhone 4S.
