    Microsoft’s next generation Windows OS that is Windows 8 will enter into RTM (Realease To Manufacture) mode on 26th October,2012. This announcement comes in the form of a blog post by Microsoft Communication Manager.

    According to blog post Windows 8 will be released in August to different PC makers. Not only this, Microsoft will also make Windows 8 available for Tablet and Smartphone manufacturers in August.

    The new Windows 8 will be available in 109 languages and will be available in 231 market across the globe. Windows 8 will be the first operating system from Microsoft that will be launched for all three computing platforms that is PC, Tablet and Smartphone. Different version of Windows 8 will be available which are tailored according to the architecture of the processors used in the device. Windows 8 will be available for all popular computing architecture like X86/64 and ARM architecture.

    Other new thing in Windows 8 is its Metro design. According to reviews and feedback from various consumers, the new Metro interface is best suited only for touch based devices not for PC. Various consumers are also not happy with the fact that their beloved Start Button will be absent from Windows 8 but Microsoft in their response claims that it is because of consumer feedback that they had removed Start Button from Windows 8
